All About WigWam ================ WigWam is a comprehensive CompuServe automation program, available for download from UKCOMP Lib 10. Support is provided by the authors, Ashmount Research Ltd of Baker Street, London, in UKCOMP Section 10. WigWam is designed to minimise your CompuServe connect charges and to give you the benefit of an easy-to-use Windows interface, with no need to navigate complex menu structures or type commands on line. Facilities ---------- The following CompuServe facilities can be accessed through WigWam: Forums: - Read and write messages - Select specified Forums and Sections for Download - Download Message Headers only, and mark Headers of interest for subsequent full download - Send 'private' and 'unformatted' messages Libraries: - Download Library Lists - Update already downloaded Library Lists - Review a Library List and mark files for subsequent download CompuServe Mail - Send and receive messages - Send and receive binary files - Access Message Gateways (X.400, Internet Mail, MHS, etc) Other CompuServe Facilities - Online Today Daily Edition - What's New on CompuServe - Ebert's Movie Reviews - Weather Maps (US, UK, Europe) - Hurricane Warnings - Current Billing Information - Billing History Windows Interface - Graphical representation of Message and Thread structure - Customisable Button Bar - Comprehensive Online Help - User selectable font WigWam comes complete with login scripts to access CompuServe through the worldwide network of CompuServe nodes, and through the UK national BT and Mercury networks. A comprehensive script langauge allows scripts to be written easily for other networks, or you can login manually without the need for a login script. The powerful scripting langauge also allows users (and Ashmount) to write online scripts that will integrate other CompuServe facilities into WigWam. Let us know if you have a specific requirement! Hardware and Software Requirements ---------------------------------- WigWam requires a PC running Windows 3.0 or 3.1 in Standard or Enhanced Mode (Real Mode is not supported). The disk space required will depend upon the volume of messages which you keep stored locally for browsing: the program itself requires 1.5MB and the messages may typically require a further 1.5MB. Availability of the Program --------------------------- The version available for download from CompuServe is a fully functional copy of WigWam, except for one housekeeping function. You are entitled to use this version for two weeks to evaluate WigWam: after that, if you wish to continue to use the program, we ask that you register the software. registration is currently available at the introductory price of 65 UK Pounds or 130 US Dollars. In exchange, we will provide you with a comprehensive printed manual, a full copy of WigWam and associated files on diskette, unlimited support in the UKCOMP forum, and access (at our discretion) to updated and beta test versions from a 'closed' section of the Forum. Ordering Information -------------------- WigWam may be ordered by one of the following means: GO SWREG You can order WigWam via CompuServe's software registration facility (GO SWREG for details). The registration fee is charged in dollars and is debited to your CompuServe account. The fee is currently 130 USD, inclusive of shipping. The price is inclusive of VAT where applicable. The price may vary from time to time depending on the exchange rate: GO SWREG to confirm. ACCESS/VISA/MASTERCHARGE Credit Card orders can be sent directly to Ashmount by CompuServe Mail, Telephone, Fax, or post. See the end of this file for contact numbers etc. Please quote your name, address, number of copies and required disk size. We also need to know your credit card number, type and expiry date. Credit Card orders are charged the registration fee in UK Pounds, currently at the introductory rate of 65 UKP, inclusive of shipping. VAT is charged in addition if you are in the EC: if you are registered for VAT in a non-UK EC country, please quote your VAT number to avoid UK VAT. We are pleased to accept cheques drawn on UK banks. Overseas cheques are very expensive to process and regrettably we are therefore unable to accept them. A NOTE ON PRICING Please note that WigWam ordered via SWREG is priced in dollars at 130 USD, while WigWam ordered direct from Ashmout is priced in pounds at 65 UKP. The dollar price is inclusive of shipping worldwide, and Value Added Tax if the order is within the EC. The sterling price is inclusive of shipping but exclusive of VAT. We can take orders in either form from anywhere in the world, so please choose the one that is best for you, and mail us if you have any questions. UK COMPANY ORDERS Please include payment with order, or contact the Ashmount office if this is not possible. SHIPPING DETAILS WigWam is shipped within three working days of receipt of your order, by first class post (or airmail outside Europe). WigWam is sent on 3.5 inch diskettes by default, please specify in your order if you wish 5.25 instead. The Online Help File is not mandatory. If you are using Windows 3.0, you will also need COMMDLG.DLL and, to use Help, the Windows 3.1 version of WINHELP.EXE. These two files are also available for download from UKCOMP, but they may already have been installed on your system with other software.
